Getting started
Create your store
Creating a store takes a few minutes. You register once, which makes your account and your organization, then create the store itself and answer a short setup checklist before it opens to customers.
Register and create your organization
- Open the Bazuva sign-in page and choose Create an organization.
- Fill in Your name, Organization name, your email and a password. The password needs at least 10 characters, with letters and numbers.
- Choose Create organization.
You become the owner of the organization. An organization can hold as many stores as you need.
Verify your email
Bazuva sends a verification link to the address you registered with. You need it before you can continue.
- Open the email and follow the link. It works for one hour.
- You see Email verified when it has worked.
If the email has not arrived, choose Resend the email on the Check your inbox page. If the link has expired, the page offers Get a new link. If you typed the wrong address, choose Sign in with another account and register again with the right one.
Create your first store
After verifying, the Welcome page walks you through the first steps.
- Under Create your first store, type the Store name, such as the name your customers know you by.
- Check the Store id. It fills in from the name as you type; a name written in Bangla gets an id in Latin letters. You can type your own instead, using lowercase letters, digits and dashes.
- Choose Create store.
The store id becomes your store’s address on Bazuva and cannot be changed later, so choose it with care. You can still connect your own domain at any time; see Connect your domain.
When the store is ready, you see Your first store is ready. Choose Open store admin to go to its admin panel, or Go to the organization to see all your stores.
If you are not ready to create a store yet, choose Skip for now and open the organization. You can create a store later from your organization’s page with New store.
Answer the setup checklist
Every new store has a short setup checklist before it goes live. It appears as a Store setup card on the store’s dashboard, with how many questions are answered and how many are left.
- On the dashboard, choose Open setup.
- Work through each question. Depending on the question, you type an answer and choose Save answer, pick one option, or choose Mark as done for a task.
- Questions marked Required before going live must be answered. Others can be skipped.
- When every required question is answered, choose Go live. This opens your storefront to customers.
Until you go live, the dashboard says Answer the setup questions to go live. Afterwards it says Your store is live. If a new question is added to the checklist after you went live, the card shows it under Questions to catch up on.
Only owners and managers of the store can answer the checklist. Anyone else sees how many questions are waiting.
Single vendor or multi-vendor
Every store starts as a single vendor: you sell as yourself. The checklist also lets you choose multi-vendor if you want to run a marketplace where other sellers list their products. Both modes are fully supported, and you can switch back while no vendors exist.
Invite your team
Owners and admins of the organization can add people to it from the Members page of the organization with Add member. To give someone access to one store with a limited role, see Staff and roles.
