Cash on delivery
Say yes to cash on deliverywithout paying for every parcel that comes back.
Across the Global South, most buyers pay at the door. Bazuva decides who can, confirms the orders worth checking before a courier is booked, and matches every taka the courier collects to the order it came from.
- Rules per zone and product
- Confirmation queue
- Advance on risky orders
- Courier cash reconciled

The difference
Cash on delivery is not the problem. Running it on spreadsheets is.
Without Bazuva
With Bazuva
Every order ships, then a third come back and you pay the courier both ways.
Risky orders wait for a confirmation, and a phone that refused before is asked to pay an advance.
Someone calls each buyer from a personal phone and notes the answer in a chat group.
A queue lists every order to confirm, with the phone masked until opened and every attempt counted.
High-value orders and far districts get the same cash option as everyone else.
Rules cap the order value, refuse cash for a place or a product, and limit a first order.
The courier's payout arrives as one figure and nobody knows which parcels it covers.
Each remittance is matched line by line to its orders, and the mismatches are listed.
Who may pay cash
Rules that decide before the buyer clicks Place order.
Cash on delivery is offered where your rules allow it, and the checkout says why when it is not. Rules stack in order: the delivery zone first, then the place and the product, the order value, a first order, and finally the phone's own history in your store.
- Refuse cash, or allow only cash, per shipping zone
- Leave out a district, a product or a vendor
- Minimum and maximum order value, a cap on first orders
- A COD fee per zone, shown as its own line at checkout
Confirmation before dispatch
Check the orders worth checking. Ship the rest at once.
Orders below your risk threshold confirm themselves. The rest are held: the buyer gets a signed link to confirm or cancel, or your team works a queue and calls. Three unanswered attempts and the order is cancelled or left for a person, as you choose.
- Automatic, by link, or by call: one setting
- Phone numbers masked until a team member opens them
- Confirm, decline or unreachable, every attempt counted
- A confirmed order releases its parcel for booking
An advance on risky orders
Ask for the delivery charge first, the way buyers in Bangladesh expect.
A phone that refused parcels before, or an order above your limit, can still pay cash: it pays an advance online first, and the rest at the door. The buyer sees exactly what is due now and what is due on delivery.
- An advance as a percentage or a fixed amount
- Paid with bKash or a card before the order is placed
- The balance collected in cash by the courier
Reconciliation
Know where every taka is between the door and your bank.
Every parcel's cash is a collection with a status and an age. Import the courier's statement or record a remittance by hand, and Bazuva matches it to the orders, lists the differences and writes it into your books.
- Collections by status and by how long they have waited
- Courier statements imported and matched line by line
- Mismatches listed until someone resolves them
- Every collection and remittance in the store's ledger

Questions about cash on delivery
Can I offer cash on delivery only in some districts?
Yes. Each shipping zone can allow cash, refuse it or offer only cash, and you can leave out single places such as remote areas.
How does Bazuva decide an order is risky?
By the phone number's history in your store: when its refused parcels reach your threshold, its next cash order needs a confirmation and can be asked for an advance.
Does the buyer have to do anything?
Only when you choose confirmation by link: they open a signed link and confirm or cancel. Otherwise your team confirms by phone, or low-risk orders confirm themselves.
Which couriers send the cash back through Bazuva?
Steadfast, Pathao and RedX are connected. Any courier's statement can be imported as a sheet, or a remittance recorded by hand.
