Online payments
Bazuva takes online payments through your own account with a payment gateway. Today you can connect bKash and SSLCommerz. The money is paid into your account with the gateway; Bazuva never holds it. Every payment is checked with the gateway before it counts, so an order is only marked paid when the gateway confirms it.
Setting up takes two parts: connect the gateway, then add the payment method buyers choose at checkout.
Before you start
You need a merchant account with the gateway and the credentials it gives you:
- SSLCommerz: your Store ID and Store password.
- bKash: your App key, App secret, Username and Password for the bKash payment gateway.
Both gateways also give test (sandbox) credentials. You can connect those first to try a payment without real money.
Connect the gateway
- Go to Payments → Gateways.
- Choose Connect a gateway.
- Choose the Gateway: SSLCommerz or bKash.
- Give the connection a Name, such as “SSLCommerz live”.
- Set the Mode to Sandbox (test) or Live.
- Type the credentials under SSLCommerz credentials or bKash credentials.
- Choose Connect.
The credentials are checked with the gateway when you save. Secrets are never shown again after saving; to keep one, leave its field as it is. Changing any credential means verifying again.
Verify the connection
The connection’s page shows its Status: Not verified, Active, Failing or Disconnected. To check it again at any time, choose Verify. When the gateway answers, you see The gateway answered.
The page also keeps a list of Calls to the gateway: when each call was made, what it was, the answer and how long it took. It helps when a payment does not go through.
Paste the notification address
Gateways tell your store about payments through a notification address.
- On the connection’s page, find Notifications.
- Choose Copy address next to Notification address (IPN).
- Paste the address into the gateway’s merchant panel, where it asks for a notification, IPN or callback address.
If you think the address has been shared where it should not be, choose Make a new address and paste the new one into the gateway’s panel.
Add the payment method
A connected gateway is not offered at checkout until you add a method for it.
- Go to Payments → Methods and choose New method.
- Choose the Kind: Card, wallet or banking (gateway) for SSLCommerz, or Wallet for bKash.
- Choose the Gateway connection you made.
- Optionally set Least order, Most order and a Fee, and who pays it under Fee paid by.
- Keep Offer this method at checkout on and choose Add method.
Put the methods in the order you want buyers to see them at checkout.
Instalments (EMI)
With SSLCommerz you can also offer EMI. Go to Payments → Instalments and choose New plan: pick the bank and the tenure, the total interest and who pays it. Product pages can then show a line such as “EMI from ৳2,084/month” under the price.
Refunds
You can refund a payment from Payments → Transactions: open the payment and refund all or part of it. A refund through the gateway goes back to the buyer’s card or wallet.
